Construction Update – April 2016
April 26, 2016
Nature’s Edge is buzzing with excitement this month, as the over 50’s lifestyle village approaches one of its most significant milestones on the construction calendar – the building of the long-awaited Leisure Centre.
Mayor Jamieson was our very special guest for the Breaking Ground Ceremony on the site of the $2.5 million Leisure centre on the 6th May. The centre, set to boast some of the most impressive facilities for the over 50’s lifestyle in Queensland, will compliment the quality workmanship on the architecturally designed master built homes.
The 5 star Leisure Centre features an auditorium, indoor heated pool and spa, gymnasium, art and craft studio, library lounge, 30 seater cinema, dance floor, sauna and massage areas, a sundeck plus indoor outdoor bar, and Teppanyaki BBQ, workshop, vast alfresco dining and lounge areas- all nestled in the foliage of the rainforest.
Nature’s Edge Sales Manager Lyn Morrison said once complete, residents will be spoilt for choice, with daily activities such as water aerobics, book clubs and billiard competitions. The facility will also be home to a workshop providing the men and some women in the community with their own backyard workshop.
“Residents are buzzing as they are looking forward to seeing the construction of the leisure centre begin,” Lyn said. “Already, current residents are benefiting from a range of lifestyle activities at various recreational facilities in the area, which Nature’s Edge is helping to fund until the leisure facility is complete.”
For updates and photos on the progress of the leisure facility, keep an eye on the Nature’s Edge Buderim Facebook page or our website. It is an exciting time and as always you are most welcome to come for a tour with our sales team.
The Rise and The Summit
Construction on homes in The Rise and The Summit continue to power ahead as the building team is blessed with more blissful Sunshine Coast weather.
“This great weather is helping us move forward at a rapid rate,” Construction Manager Warren Young said.
“We’ve been really fortunate with great building conditions so far, and hopefully that will continue in the months to come.”
Many of the homes in The Rise are nearing completion, with interior paint, kitchen and appliances being installed in the coming weeks.
Houses in The Summit are also starting to take shape as civil infrastructure makes way for the pouring of several concrete slabs.
“We have almost reached the half way point in our year of construction in both The Rise and The Summit and we are extremely happy with construction progress in both these areas.”
Civil Works have also been approved for Stage 2 where another 45 homes are due to be built. Some of these homes will have the added benefit of RV friendly designs allowing home owners to park their RV and Caravan next to their home in their own lockable accommodation.
